AU Jewish Student Association

 JSA's Mission Statement

American University's Jewish Student Association is a student-run organization committed to providing religious, cultural, educational, and social events for AU's Jewish Community.  We are a pluralistic organization and strive to include all sects of Judaism as well as the secular community in all of our events and planning. JSA has a board of 13 members.  6 students sit on the Executive Board and 7 on the General Board.  The Executive Board consists of the President, Vice-President, Community Relations Director, Religious, Educational and Cultural Director, Treasurer, and Public Relations Director.  The General Board consists of Historian, Social Chair, Fundraising Chair, Jewish Learning Chair, Tzedek Chair.  In the Spring we also have a Holocaust Remembrance Week Chair. JSA works hand in hand with the other Jewish organizations on campus including American University Students for Israel, and Hillel, among others.  JSA hopes to provide a network of students looking to connect with the Jewish community.  We are constantly looking for new ideas and programs to continue student involvement and make our community even stronger.
